In 1997 I started climbing, the year after I did my first competition, and the next year my first international one. At that time I was so nervous that I had forgotten to close my harness, and luckily didn´t fall... Today I manage to handle stress much better.
During 6 years I´ve competed in the EYC´s, the European youthcomps, and since 5 years I participate in the senior worldcups, where, in 2003, I made it to the finals (top 8) as the first climber from the Netherlands ever, in 2004 the podium, and in 2005 I won my first worldcup!
Overall I did around 100 international competitions; here you can read the best results of them.
